Delhi launches Lakshmi Yojana portal for women's financial aid

Delhi Chief Minister launched the 'Lakshmi Yojana' portal on Tuesday, aimed at providing financial empowerment to women. The scheme promises a monthly assistance of ₹2,500, to be disbursed via digital wallet or bank deposit. Over 30,000 women registered on the first day. The government has allocated ₹5,100 crore for the scheme, which has eligibility criteria including age (21-60), income, and residence, with applications undergoing a four-stage verification process. Women with more than three children are excluded from the scheme.
