Union Cabinet Extends PM-Kisan Scheme Until 2030-31
The Union Cabinet has approved the extension of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme for an additional five years, until 2030-31. The government has allocated ₹3.15 lakh crore for this period. The scheme, launched in February 2019, aims to provide direct financial support to farmers. The government stated that over ₹4.47 lakh crore has already been transferred to farmers' bank accounts through 23 installments.
