Kerala Floods and Landslides Cause Deaths, Disrupt Fishing

Heavy rainfall in Kerala has led to landslides and flooding, resulting in at least six deaths, including children. The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority reported exceptionally heavy rainfall in central parts of the state. In separate incidents, boat capsizes off the Kollam coast have led to the death of one fisherman and left two others missing. Another incident saw four fishermen go missing after two boats capsized off the Kerala coast. Meanwhile, the state's Health Department is preparing for potential health emergencies due to the water-borne disease risks.
