Donor Organs Transported Via Metro and Vande Bharat Train
A donor heart and lungs were transported across Hyderabad via the Metro Rail in 25 minutes. Separately, a donor heart was transported from Surat to Ahmedabad on a Vande Bharat Express train for a life-saving surgery. This marked the first time Indian Railways used the Vande Bharat for such a critical organ transport. The Chief Minister of Gujarat called the Vande Bharat mission a unique example of service.
