India urges Iran to avoid attacks on shipping, seafarers
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke with Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and "strongly urged" Iran to avoid attacks on commercial shipping and seafarers. Jaishankar reiterated India's condemnation of such attacks, regardless of the perpetrator. The conversation occurred amidst rising tensions in West Asia. Jaishankar also raised concerns about attacks on commercial shipping and Indian seafarers in the Black Sea with Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
