Election Commission Extends Electoral Roll Revision Deadlines in Odisha, Telangana
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has extended the deadlines for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Odisha and Telangana. In Telangana, the deadline for claims and objections was extended to August 30, with the draft rolls already released. In Odisha, the deadline for claims and objections was extended to August 19, and the final voter list will now be published on September 21. The ECI cited slow progress in digitizing enumeration forms as the reason for the extensions.
