Congress Accuses PM Modi of Playing Victim, Demands Apology

Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh and Rahul Gandhi have accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of playing the "victim card" instead of apologizing for alleged brutality against protesting students. Ramesh stated that the Prime Minister uses "vile vitriol" against opponents and enjoys playing the victim. Gandhi, after meeting bereaved families, asserted that students are owed an apology, not forgiveness. One report also mentions a mother of a minor girl who allegedly made abusive remarks against the PM, expressing gratitude for his forgiveness and requesting the FIR be withdrawn.
