Deaths Reported During Sewer and Tank Cleaning Operations
At least 47 individuals reportedly died while cleaning sewers in 2025, according to information provided by the Centre. Separately, four men died while cleaning a water tank in Cachar, Assam. The deceased in the Assam incident have been identified as Niloy Pal, Debashish Pal, Nandan Pal, and Sampu Pal, as reported by local police.
