Supreme Court Judge Questions Collegium Transparency

Supreme Court Justice Ujjal Bhuyan has questioned the Supreme Court collegium's lack of transparency in judicial appointments. He stated that the last three collegium resolutions provided "no reasons whatsoever" for their decisions. Justice Bhuyan asserted that citizens have a right to know the reasons behind these appointments. He also suggested that opacity could potentially allow unsuitable individuals to enter the judiciary.
