GST Collections and Digital Payments Reach Record Highs in July

India's Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections reached ₹2.11 lakh crore in July, marking a 15% increase compared to the previous year. This growth was attributed to strong performance in both import and domestic tax revenues. Concurrently, India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) platform recorded its highest-ever monthly transaction value, processing ₹29.9 lakh crore in July. This surge in digital payments signifies a robust expansion of the country's digital economy.
