Godavari River Floods Impact Districts, Relief Efforts Underway

The Godavari River experienced significant flooding, leading to the issuance of flood warnings and the intensification of relief operations in affected districts. In Telangana, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar reviewed project inflows and stated efforts were being made to maximize water for farmers, rejecting claims about water sources. Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh's Konaseema and Polavaram districts, relief operations were intensified following a second flood warning. The river's water levels peaked at Bhadrachalam, causing 100 villages in Godavari districts to be cut off, though some reports indicated the water was beginning to recede and the first warning was withdrawn.
