West Bengal STF arrests suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed operative
West Bengal's Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a suspected operative of Jaish-e-Mohammed in connection with a plot to attack a protest at Jantar Mantar. The arrested individual, identified as Mohammad Hameem Mandal, was apprehended in the Purba Bardhaman district. A second suspect, Aditya Singh, was also arrested. The STF stated that the operative had attempted to infiltrate the protest, reportedly disguised in police uniform, to carry out the attack.
