Bangladesh PM Authorised to Nominate Presidential Candidate

Bangladesh's ruling party, BNP, has authorised Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to finalise the nominee for the country's upcoming presidential elections. The constitution mandates that an election to fill a vacant presidential office must occur within 90 days of the vacancy. The BNP chief, who is also the Prime Minister, will make the final decision on the candidate.
