Thousands of old cases pending in Indian courts
Over 10,000 cases have been pending in India's Supreme Court for more than a decade, while High Courts collectively have over 80,000 cases pending for over 30 years. The government has provided this information, noting that despite investments in court infrastructure and technology, case pendency has not decreased over these long periods.
