Supreme Court dismisses review plea against clean chit to BJP leaders
The Supreme Court has dismissed a review petition seeking an FIR against BJP leaders Anurag Thakur and Parvesh Verma for alleged hate speeches made in 2020. The petition was filed by Brinda Karat. The court had previously given a clean chit to the BJP leaders. The review plea sought to revisit the earlier order that did not mandate an FIR against them. The speeches in question were reportedly made during the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections.
