Karnataka Congress Cabinet Expansion Sparks Dissent and Resignations

Karnataka Chief Minister expanded his cabinet, inducting 19 ministers who took oath. Following the expansion, at least two Congress MLAs resigned after being excluded from ministerial positions. One MLA, Yashavantarayagouda Patil, resigned after not being included in the cabinet. Another MLA, Dinesh Gundu Rao, questioned his exclusion, asking if he was a "bad performer" or "dropped" for other reasons. The Chief Minister asked "disappointed aspirants" to remain patient. Disgruntlement was also noted over the prominence given to "children of ex-CMs" in the Congress.
