Airtel Reports 37% Profit Jump on Higher Tariffs and Customer Growth

Bharti Airtel announced a 37.3% increase in net profit for the first quarter, reaching ₹8,167 crore. This growth was attributed to higher mobile tariffs and a significant influx of new customers. The company's consolidated revenue rose by 18.4% to ₹58,539 crore. Average revenue per user (ARPU) also saw an increase. Analysts had projected a 15% revenue growth and a 2% ARPU rise for the quarter.
