FSSAI orders halt on sale of certain Dabur products over misleading claims

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has ordered Dabur India to stop the sale of products making '100% pure' or '100% natural' claims. The regulator stated these claims are misleading and violate food safety regulations. The FSSAI also issued a prohibition-of-sale order against certain rum and whisky brands, alleging they are made with neutral spirit and artificial flavouring, misrepresenting them as aged. The action against Dabur has led to a nearly 3% slide in the company's shares.
