Supreme Court suggests denying fuel to uninsured vehicles

The Supreme Court has proposed a pilot project to deny fuel to vehicles without insurance. The court noted that 56% of vehicles are not insured and suggested that such vehicles be challaned. It also suggested that the Union government and IRDA consider implementing a 'No Insurance, No Fuel' model. This could involve using ANPR cameras and digital systems to identify and restrict fuel access for uninsured vehicles.
