Kerala CM Announces AI-based Disaster Resilience Plan After Floods

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited flood-affected areas and announced a plan for disaster resilience and management. The state intends to develop an AI-based disaster warning and management system. This initiative follows recent floods that led to significant inflows into hydel reservoirs, reaching 43% storage capacity. The body of a rappelling instructor who reportedly gave his life jacket to a survivor was also recovered. Separately, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sarma toured flood-hit areas in Kerala and spoke about rehabilitation efforts.
