Hurdler Shirse Withdraws from Asian Games After CWG Injury

Indian hurdler Tejas Shirse will not compete in the Asian Games after sustaining stress fractures on his foot. Shirse reached the 110m hurdles final at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, finishing last with a time of 15.39 seconds while visibly in pain and with his foot heavily taped. He had previously become the first Indian to reach the Commonwealth Games hurdles final, clocking 13.76 seconds.
