Rape allegations lead to lynching in Jharkhand, arrests in Assam

In Jharkhand's Chatra district, a 22-year-old man accused of abducting and raping a minor girl was lynched by a mob. Villagers attacked him with fists, kicks, and sticks following the girl's allegations. Police rescued the man, who later died, and arrested eight individuals. Separately, in Assam's Hailakandi district, three individuals, including a minor, have been arrested in connection with the alleged gang rape and murder of a Class 10 student. Police stated the accused 'wanted to teach her a lesson'. Several organizations have condemned the Assam incident and demanded a fast-track trial.
