Tamil Nadu political leaders clash over budget and arrests

Tamil Nadu's TVK government presented its maiden budget amidst political tension. Opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin alleged that the budget merely renamed schemes from the previous DMK government, calling it a "big zero." He also claimed his recent arrest was a diversionary tactic by Chief Minister Vijay's government to silence him on the Cauvery issue. MK Stalin, another opposition leader, criticized Chief Minister Vijay as "incapable" and his cabinet a "joker cabinet" following Udhayanidhi Stalin's arrest. AIADMK chief Palaniswami also rated the budget as "zero."
