Rebel TMC MLA Appointed Bengal Assembly PAC Chairman
West Bengal Assembly has appointed rebel Trinamool Congress MLA Kanaia Lal Agarwal as the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). Traditionally, the PAC chairman is selected from the opposition party. The PAC plays a key role in overseeing government expenditure and scrutinizing audit reports from the Comptroller and Auditor General.
