Meta apologizes to Indian government over temporary removal of PM Modi's video
Meta has apologized to Indian officials for the temporary removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's video from its platforms. The company's Chief Global Affairs Officer, Joel Kaplan, stated that the removal was a mistake. A parliamentary committee had sought an apology from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg over the incident. The video was briefly taken down during student protests but was quickly restored. Meta has admitted to being paid to amplify certain content, which some outlets frame as deliberate content manipulation.
