Government Denies Ethanol Blending in Aviation Fuel, Defends Biofuel Program
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu denied claims that ethanol would be blended with Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), stating on X that ethanol and Sustainable Aviation Fuel are distinct. He clarified that no such proposal exists. The government also defended its broader biofuel and E20 ethanol blending program. Separately, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal criticized the E20 policy, urging the government to stop importing ethanol from America. A DMK MP also questioned the E20 policy, citing regional imbalances in ethanol production.
