Woman awarded over Rs 17 lakh for illegal truck seizure
A finance company illegally seized a woman's truck in Bengal, despite her loan payments being up-to-date. A consumer commission ruled this action a severe deficiency in service. The company has been ordered to pay the woman Rs 17.17 lakh in compensation. This amount includes the value of the truck and compensation for her losses.
