Pakistan opposition plans Islamabad march over Imran Khan's detention
Supporters of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan protested across Pakistan on September 27 to mark three years since his imprisonment. In Rawalpindi, police fired tear gas at demonstrators. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Suhail Afridi, stated that Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), will march on Islamabad on September 27 if Khan is not given justice. Afridi also alleged that Khan is being held in solitary confinement and that his sisters faced mistreatment attempting to visit him. Over 100 people were reportedly held during the protests.
