Iran President Says Contact With Supreme Leader 'Very Difficult'

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Wednesday that communication with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is "very difficult." These remarks come amid reports of a rift between the two leaders and speculation about Khamenei's whereabouts following a US-Israeli strike. Pezeshkian also asserted that national unity is Iran's greatest strength against external threats, claiming enemies tried to turn Iran into Syria but failed. Some reports suggest Pezeshkian questioned if he had actually met Khamenei during a secret meeting, unable to see him in the dark.
