Bangladesh's Sheikh Hasina and India-Bangladesh relations in focus
Bangladesh's former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has vowed to return to Bangladesh in December, despite a death sentence. Her former residence has been opened as a memorial museum following the July uprising. Meanwhile, Bangladesh has expressed outrage towards India for allowing Hasina to hold a press conference in Delhi, calling it an affront to sovereignty and detrimental to bilateral relations. The Indian government has distanced itself from the event. In a separate incident, the home of former Bangladesh Cricket Captain Shakib Al Hasan was attacked and vandalized hours after he attended Hasina's press conference in Delhi.
