Government reports PM Modi's foreign trips cost ₹557 crore since 2021
The Indian government has disclosed that ₹557.51 crore was spent on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign visits to 77 countries since 2021. In 2026, the expenditure was approximately ₹74.5 crore. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that these trips strengthened bilateral relations and attracted $381.8 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) between 2021 and 2025. The government also reported specific expenditures for other years: over ₹180 crore in 2025, ₹109 crore in 2024, ₹93 crore in 2023, ₹55 crore in 2022, and ₹36 crore in 2021.
