Senate Committee Votes to Hold Anthony Fauci in Contempt
A Republican-controlled US Senate committee voted to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress. The committee cited Fauci's repeated invocation of the Fifth Amendment during questioning regarding the COVID-19 response. The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee made the decision after Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment right dozens of times. The committee also stated it had obtained a backup copy of Fauci's iPhone.
