Tarun Tejpal Sentenced to 10 Years for 2013 Sexual Assault
The Bombay High Court has convicted Tarun Tejpal, former editor of Tehelka magazine, in a 2013 sexual assault case. The court sentenced him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment. Tejpal has stated he will appeal the sentencing in the Supreme Court. The conviction and sentencing have also drawn commentary regarding the treatment of the accuser and its implications for #MeToo survivors.
