Parliament Session Monsoon Session 2026 Stalled Due to Hangup Over Excess Expenditure Bill
The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha sessions were suspended until 12 pm due to a deadlock over the Fcra Bill, which aims to appropriate Rs 54,067 crore excess expenditure in 2022-23. The opposition party alleged that the government was trying to push through the bill without proper scrutiny. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed that the opposition's protests were an attempt to disrupt the functioning of Parliament. The Rajya Sabha cleared the bill, but the Lok Sabha session remained stalled.
