NASA Astronauts Anil Menon and Jessica Meir Complete Spacewalk
NASA astronauts Anil Menon and Jessica Meir completed a spacewalk on Thursday, August 5, 2026, to upgrade the International Space Station's power system. The spacewalk, which lasted 6.5 hours, was the 281st in support of the station and the first for astronaut Anil Menon. During the mission, they installed mounting hardware for future solar arrays. This was the first of three spacewalks planned for the station's Expedition 75 crew this month. Astronaut Anil Menon also sent a message from the ISS, thanking NASA and SpaceX.
