Supreme Court to Hear NEET Reform Plans Amid Leak Investigations
The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for August 19 concerning proposed reforms to the NEET exam, including changes to its format. This comes as the CBI's chargesheet in the NEET-UG leak case indicates security lapses at the National Testing Agency (NTA) enabled question leaks. The CBI also stated that the leak was months in the making and that leaked papers matched 80-90% with master sets. Separately, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has reopened NEET-SS Round 2 registration and revised NEET-SS 2025 counselling following Delhi High Court orders. The Supreme Court also directed candidates alleging OMR discrepancies to approach the High Court.
