Ghaziabad Hospitals to Pay Rs 12 Lakh After Denying Care to Rape Victim
Two hospitals in Ghaziabad have agreed to pay Rs 12 lakh to the parents of a deceased minor who was allegedly denied treatment. The Supreme Court expressed concern over the insensitivity displayed by the hospitals and police in the matter. The court is considering establishing mandatory treatment guidelines for medical institutions and will also mandate police to conduct video recordings in such cases.
