Mithila Makhana Exported from Bihar to Australia for First Time
An 18-metric-tonne consignment of GI-tagged Mithila Makhana has been shipped from Bihar's Darbhanga district to Australia via sea. This marks the first such export from the region. Farmers involved in this shipment received nearly 18% higher returns compared to the prevailing market price.
