Assam floods displace over 1.55 lakh, death toll reaches 98
Assam is experiencing severe floods affecting over 1.55 lakh people across 13 districts, with the death toll reaching 98. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that over 77,000 people remain in relief camps. The government has released the first tranche of ₹75,000 in interim relief to affected households.
