Andhra Pradesh offers incentives for mobile towers and approves coal power
The Andhra Pradesh government is offering rent-free land and subsidised power for mobile towers in remote villages to increase connectivity. This subsidy will end once a tower reaches approximately 450 subscribers. In a separate development, the state has cleared bidding for 1,600 MW of coal power to address rising electricity demand.
