Karnataka Forms Panels for Bengaluru Traffic and Bidadi Township Project
The Karnataka government has established two separate committees. One committee, focused on urban mobility, aims to address traffic congestion in Bengaluru. Another committee, headed by a retired judge, has been formed to review the proposed Bidadi Township project. Farmers have approached the Karnataka High Court regarding land acquisition for the Bidadi project, and the government stated they will not be dispossessed until an award is passed. Opposition parties BJP and JD(S) have announced plans to jointly oppose the Bidadi township project and raise the issue in the state assembly.
