Pilots' Federation Proposes New Civil Aviation Authority to PM Modi
The Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP) has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposing the establishment of an independent and autonomous Civil Aviation Authority to replace the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The pilots' body argues that the current regulatory structure is inadequate for the growing aviation sector, new technologies, and increasing air traffic. Copies of the proposal have also been sent to the Union Minister of Civil Aviation.
