Pilots Federation Proposes Civil Aviation Authority

The Federation of Indian Pilots has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, proposing the establishment of a Civil Aviation Authority to replace the current Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The federation has also sent copies of the proposal to the Union Minister of Civil Aviation. The proposed authority would be an autonomous regulator. The move is intended to improve the country's aviation regulatory framework.
