Delhi-NCR Faces Severe Traffic Jams Amid Heavy Rainfall and Kanwar Yatra
Delhi and its surrounding National Capital Region (NCR) experienced significant traffic congestion on Saturday due to heavy rainfall and the ongoing Kanwar Yatra. Vehicles were observed moving slowly, with reports of a two-kilometer traffic jam on Delhi-NCR borders. The rainfall broke a 15-year-old record for the city. The Yamuna river's water level rose to approximately 202 meters. Authorities designated special routes for heavy vehicles in Gurugram to manage traffic during the Kanwar Yatra.
