Amit Shah visits temple, presents police award, faces opposition criticism
Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the Arunachaleswarar Temple and Sri Ramana Ashram in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. He also presented the President's Police Colour to the Puducherry Police in a ceremony. Separately, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated that Shah would have to answer for alleged police brutalities against students. BJP leaders, including Kiren Rijiju, responded by urging Gandhi to face Shah in Parliament and not run away.
