Allahabad High Court Rules on Dowry Death and Builder Harassment Cases
The Allahabad High Court has made two distinct rulings. In one case, the court imposed costs of ₹2.5 lakh on a builder for harassing a homebuyer for 13 years. In a separate case concerning dowry death, the court stated that a wife's death within seven years of marriage, coupled with dowry harassment, is sufficient to classify the death as dowry death. These rulings address consumer protection and domestic violence issues.
