Teenage girls rescued in separate incidents in Tripura, Assam, and Kolkata
Two teenage girls were rescued in separate incidents across India. In Tripura, a 17-year-old girl was kidnapped for marriage and subsequently rescued in Assam, leading to a man being booked by the police. In a separate case in Kolkata, a 16-year-old girl from North 24 Parganas was rescued from the Sonagachi red-light area after allegedly being sold by her lover for the sex trade. Police have booked a man in connection with the Tripura incident.
