US Considers Ending 60-Day Grace Period for Foreign Workers

The United States is reviewing a policy that allows foreign workers on H-1B visas a 60-day grace period to find new employment after job loss. Currently, this period allows workers and their families time to secure a new employer and maintain their immigration status. Ending this grace period could significantly reduce the time foreign workers have to respond to sudden job termination.
