Supreme Court Allows Access to Manipur Report Amid Audio Clip Dispute
The Supreme Court has permitted a Manipur civil society group to access a report concerning ethnic violence in the state. The Centre informed the court that audio clips presented as evidence were altered. A petitioner-NGO, however, stated that earlier tests showed a 93% match linking the clips to the former Chief Minister, alleging his involvement in the violence that has killed over 250 people. The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) analysis, cited by LiveLaw, concluded the audio clips were manipulated.
