30 Judges Appointed to Four Indian High Courts
The Ministry of Law and Justice notified the appointment of 30 new judges to four High Courts on Saturday. The Madras High Court received the largest share with 15 appointments, followed by Calcutta High Court with eight, and Karnataka High Court with six. The remaining one judge was appointed to the Madhya Pradesh High Court. These appointments primarily elevated judicial officers and advocates to the bench, with most designated as additional judges. Over 60 lakh cases are pending across the Indian judiciary.
