Maharashtra disburses farm loan waiver funds

The Maharashtra government has disbursed ₹5,027 crore to 6.2 lakh farmers under its debt waiver scheme. Beneficiaries can apply online, with lists of eligible farmers uploaded by banks to a MahaIT-developed portal. These lists are also available at gram panchayat offices, cooperative societies, and bank branches. In Pune district, ₹345 crore was disbursed to 38,970 farmers in the first phase.
